On Tuesday the grades 7, 8 and 9 students travelled to Science World to participate in the Roots and Shoots conference. The conference was hosted by the Jane Goodall Institute. The students worked with other students from the Lower Mainland to discuss issues important to them and to plan for action. Workshops included: school sustainability, environmental issues, climate change, and the size of your global footprint to name a few. The students will be encouraged to continue their participation in this organization in the coming months and take action in these important global issues.
